Crystal Alyssia Dunn Soubrier is a professional American soccer player, currently playing for the North Carolina Courage in the United States top division of female professional soccer. She possesses an outstanding soccer career, with a robust wing-back playing position. Playing for the United States national team, Alyssia Dunn has recorded more than 100 appearances for the American female soccer team. She debuted her soccer career in 2006, playing both for the South Side High School, and Eastern New York Youth Soccer. Dunn went on to play for the North Carolina Tar Heels from 2010 to 2013. In 2015, Alyssia Dunn was the first youngest female soccer player to win both the Golden Boot and the NWSL Most Valuable Player awards, at the age of 23.
International and Club Career
Having dabbled with all kinds of Nike thinner headbands in her international appearances, Crystal Alyssia Dunn has competed on the behalf of her nation in numerous tournaments. From 2008 through 2012, she has represented the United States in the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, and 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. On January 22, 2013, Alyssia Dunn was called by Tom Sermanni in the senior team training camp. She made her first appearance on February 13 in an international friendly against the Scottish national women's soccer team and was subsequently enlisted for the 2013 Algarve Cup.
Crystal Alyssia Dunn went further to compete for the United States senior team in SheBelieves Cup in 2016, 2018, and 2020. She made another robust appearance during the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifier's Tournament in 2016 and 2020. Other international appearances include the Tournament of Nations 2018, CONCACAF Women's Championship 2018, and FIFA Women's World Cup 2019.
She has also proven to be a valuable player in her Club career. In January 2014 Alyssia Dunn was selected by the Washington Spirit for the 2014 season of the National Women's Soccer League and played for three conservative seasons. She further left on January 3, 2017, for the English FA WSL 1 club Chelsea. After a year in England, Alyssia Dunn returned to North America in 2018 and currently plays with North Carolina Courage.
Career Honors
Crystal Alyssia Dunn Soubrier has recorded brilliant soccer honors both internationally and individually. In 2012, she earned the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup title with her teammates. She also retains a conservative SheBelieves Cup Title from 2016 through 2020. In 2019, she was part of the United States female team to win the FIFA Women's World cup. Her honors include; the 2012 Soccer America Player of the Year Award, six times NWSL Player of the Week 2015, and twice in 2018. She also earned the NWSL Golden Boot in 2015 with 15 goals, and the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament Golden Boot 2016 with 6 goals. In 2019, she was awarded the IFFHS Women's World Team award.
