Girls , It's Time To Consider A Yoga Headband
Girls it's time to go out and buy a Yoga Headband. Headbands are making a comeback! And guess who we have to thank...
The Duchess of Cambridge was snapped sporting the hot new styles from Grand Headbands whilst working out over the weekend. Teamed with a tracky and singlet she sometimes proved, all you need is a headband.
And she isn't the only one.
Supermodel Karlie Kloss, uber actress Alice Eve and Little Mix's Perrie is all aboard the headband wagon. And you know what, so are we. Yep, we said it.
The early '00s saw everyone's favourite reality star Lauren Conrad of The Hills fame rocking headbands from running the boulevard to the gym and we couldn't help but follow suit.
Gossip Girl's resident bad girl Blair Wardof was never seen without one, and even Victoria Beckham circa her bob days was a fan. Hell, even David Beckham wore them. But alas, it died out by the late 2000s... until now.
Wearing a headband during yoga serves several purposes:
-
Sweat Absorption: Yoga can be quite a sweaty practice, especially if you're practicing in a heated room or engaging in vigorous flows. A headband helps to absorb sweat and keep it from dripping into your eyes, which can be distracting and uncomfortable.
-
Hair Management: For those with longer hair, a headband helps to keep hair out of your face and eyes during yoga poses. It can be particularly helpful during inversions and balancing poses where you need clear vision and focus.
-
Focus and Concentration: Some practitioners find that wearing a headband helps to keep them focused and present during their practice. It can create a sort of boundary between your internal world and external distractions, allowing you to dive deeper into your practice.
-
Style and Personality: Let's not forget that wearing a headband can also be a fashion statement! Many yogis choose headbands that reflect their personal style and personality, adding a touch of flair to their practice attire.
Ultimately, whether or not you choose to wear a headband during yoga is a matter of personal preference. Some people find them indispensable, while others prefer to practice without them.
